Our Story
Some of my happiest memories begin on the farm.
I was just four years old when I first called my grandparents' farm home. Surrounded by open fields, horses, wildlife and endless skies, it was a place where imagination ran wild and every day felt like an adventure waiting to happen.
Long before Willow Tree Homewares existed, I spent my days creating. Not always masterpieces, I should add. There were mud pies carefully prepared in old buckets, secret dens built from little more than sticks, blankets and determination, and homemade "perfumes" crafted from my Granny's beautiful rose petals (a childhood crime I should probably own up to now!). Looking back, those simple creations were the beginning of my love for making things by hand.
The farm was my playground, my classroom and my sanctuary. It was where I learned to appreciate nature, to slow down, and to find joy in the little things. Every corner held a new adventure waiting to happen. There was always something new to discover, and every day ended with memories that would stay with me forever.
At the heart of the farm stands a magnificent willow tree.

Its graceful branches sway gently in the breeze, welcoming birds, insects and wildlife throughout the year. Even now, every time I walk beneath its canopy, leading the horses to the field while they cheekily try to sneak a nibble from its trailing branches, I cannot help but smile.
That willow tree is the inspiration behind Willow Tree Homewares.
The willow is often seen as a symbol of strength, resilience and growth. Although it appears delicate, it can bend through storms without breaking. Its deep roots help stabilise the land, helping to prevent soil erosion and supporting the health of the surrounding environment. Willow trees provide shelter for wildlife, nesting spaces for birds, and one of the earliest sources of pollen for bees emerging in spring. They remind us that true strength can be found in flexibility, patience and deep roots.
To me, the willow represents home.
It represents family, creativity, connection and belonging. It reminds me of muddy boots, rosy fingers, horse-filled afternoons and childhood adventures that seemed endless. It reminds me of a place where I feel grounded, where I have space to breathe, create and simply be.

Willow Tree Homewares was born from those memories and from my passion for handmade gifts that bring joy to others. Every piece is inspired by the warmth of home, the beauty of nature and the special moments that make life meaningful.
And perhaps the most special part of all is that this story has never really left the farm.
Today, your Willow Tree treasures are still lovingly handmade here, on this very farm. The same farm where mud pies were proudly served, dens became castles, rose petals became perfume, and a little girl's imagination first began to bloom beneath the branches of a willow tree.
From a little girl creating adventures on the farm to crafting handmade treasures for homes across the country, this journey has come full circle.
I hope each piece carries a little of that feeling with it, the comfort of home, the joy of simple moments, and the warmth of memories made to last a lifetime.
Thank you for being part of the Willow Tree Homewares story.
With love,
Laura x
